Welcome to Kraśnik!

Kraśnik is a calm town and it is nice to live here. At the same time, it is the region’s most dynamically developing economic centre. Its’ favourable location - between the industrial centre deep in the forests and the gateway to one of the most interesting environmental regions - Roztocze - enables the town to use all of its attributes; ensures its citizens economic stability and at the same time provides a quality of life that many other cities can only envy.

Tradition obliges. Even before the war Kraśnik’s geographical location caused the town to become part of the Central Industrial District, and Fabryka Łożysk Tocznych (Rolling Bearings Factory), created on this basis still operates, offering the worlds’ markets products of the highest quality. Also the brickyards, which were a peculiar icon of pre-war Kraśnik, still produce bricks of natural clay of unusual values. In the world Kraśnik is known as the Polish brick capital.

The town supports its investors by offering favourable tax credits and clear, predictable rules of cooperation. Perhaps that is why so many international companies have decided to open branches in Kraśnik. The great possibilities and interesting prospects offered by Kraśnik attracts graduates from Lublin.

The future. Ten years ago we chose openness and clarity of activities and self-government procedures. Kraśnik is the only local government in Poland to introduce ISO standards in all public units - starting from the City Council down to kindergartens. This improved the level of trust on the part of its citizens, businessmen and potential investors. But it is only a good beginning. The two planned trans-European routes Helsinki - Athens and Santiago de Compostella - Kiev cross in Kraśnik, making our town the ideal place for the development of industry and tourism. For this we have been preparing thoroughly for several years. We built a reservoir whose area amounts to 42 ha, we are modernising our sporting facilities and we built a new 50-meter swimming pool. We marked off new sites for investment.

For a few years we have been observing an infusion of new energy into the town. Because it is a good town.
